Description
Joel Cameron was just another member of Ewen Cameron’s brush-popping crew that was chousing out the longhorned ladinos from the wild a Rio Grande when he first set eyes on Consuela O Rourke. It was in the year 1842, six years after the battle of the Alamo. For the past two years, Joel had been trying to build up his thousand-acre spread along the banks of the Medina River in the wildest part of West Texas and stock it with cattle.
