We are excited to be exclusively releasing the audiobook of Milkman by Anna Burns, which has just been announced as the winner of the 50th Man Booker Prize for Fiction, to the library market.

The powerful tale tells the story of an unnamed girl as she navigates her way through rumour, social pressure and politics in a tight knit Irish community during the troubles.

The chair of judges for the prize, Kwame Anthony Appiah said, ‘None of us has ever read anything like this before. Anna Burns’ utterly distinctive voice challenges conventional thinking and form in surprising and immersive prose’.

He also hinted that some readers may find it easier to enjoy in audio ‘because of the flow of the language and the fact that some of the language is unfamiliar’.

The book is available to order online now in eAudioCDMP3CD and eBook formats.
