Synopsis
The old Sheffield canal is a dark place - overgrown, run down and lonely. For Eliza Eliot, curator of a small art gallery, it is the perfect setting for artist Daniel Flynn's disturbing masterpiece: a reworking of Bruehghel's The Triumph of Death.
But when a friend's suicide is followed by murder, it seems that Flynn's nightmare images are spilling into the real world. Caught up in the police investigation, Eliza struggles to make sense of the violence now centred on the gallery. Is this the work of an opportunistic killer, or is there a link to the murder four years earlier of a young girl? A murder for which somebody is already behind bars...
